Studios of the Art Education Department

Department of Art Education/Studios and workshops:

The Department of Art Education has a number of studios and workshops necessary for teaching practical subjects, including:

Oil painting studio: It contains special stands for teaching oil painting and has a capacity of 20 students. It is not used for teaching other subjects, due to the nature of the furniture design. Location: Sports Activity Building, second floor, Hall No. 139

Watercolor studio: It contains 20 drawing tables, all of which are dedicated to teaching related subjects such as basic drawing, advanced drawing, watercolor photography, Arabic calligraphy, and others. Location: Sports Activity Building, second floor, Hall No. 141A

Design studio: It contains 20 drawing tables, all of which are dedicated to teaching related subjects such as the foundations of perspective, two-dimensional design, decorative design, and others. Location: Sports Activity Building, second floor, Hall No. 141B

Sculpture and ceramics workshop: It contains special materials and tools for sculpture and ceramics, including work tables, tools for manual shaping, a kneading machine, a shaping wheel, a firing oven, and other supplies designated for teaching sculpture and ceramics materials only. Location:  Queen Rania College for Childhood, ground floor, Hall No. 115

Handicrafts workshop: It contains drawing tables and work tables for handicraft work to teach handicraft materials and advanced techniques, including molding and building materials using local environmental materials. It needs more equipment for related materials such as handicrafts and modern tools and devices. Location:  Sports Activity Building, second floor, Hall No. 148A

Engraving and printing workshop: It contains a special printing press, drawing tables, and work tables for printing work to teach engraving and printing materials and their advanced techniques. It needs more equipment for related materials, such as infrastructure equipment and some modern materials, devices, and tools. Location:  Sports Activity Building, second floor, Hall No. 148B

Warehouse: It is used to store materials, tools, co

mpleted artwork, and other things necessary for this purpose. Location:  Sports Activity Building, second floor, Hall No. 141

 

In the near future, the department is looking to create a computer laboratory with a capacity of 20-30 devices for the purposes of teaching subjects related to the use of computers in drawing and design, establish a permanent exhibition hall to display student works, and open the Museum of the Art Education Department.
